Ryan Rabellino
Senior Account Manager
Ryan Rabellino joined Muelrath Public Affairs, Inc. (MPA) in 2012, bringing with him a breadth of experience with several public policy positions related to land use, economic development, transportation and environmental issues.
For nearly a decade, Ryan has worked on several high-profile land use proposals along with dozens of local political races for candidates for City Council, Mayor, School Board/Board of Education, County Sheriff, District Attorney and County Supervisor across the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s also worked on several ballot initiatives in Sonoma, Marin and Napa Counties, aiding in message development, creating direct mail and managing the campaigns’ day-to-day operations.
Ryan has applied his experience to help craft winning campaign strategies, creating direct mail and developing specifically tailored outreach programs for clients. Despite the diversity of work, Ryan has consistently demonstrated his ability to adapt campaign or land-use plans to the political environment he’s working with.
Since Ryan joined the MPA team, his roles and responsibilities have grown to include managing day-to-day operations for many of MPA’s land-use and political clientele; shaping message development and copy-writing much of MPA’s print and digital materials; organizing Town Hall meetings and supporter gatherings for clients; leading letter-writing campaigns; and conducting outreach to community and stakeholder groups.
Ryan is a graduate of Santa Clara University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in the Public Sector. He is the first member of his family to earn a 4-year college degree.
While at Santa Clara, Ryan held an internship in the office of San José City Councilmember Ash Kalra, who now serves in the State Assembly. He worked closely with the Councilmember’s Policy Manager and Chief of Staff to analyze issues coming before the City Council, including one of California’s first plastic bag ban proposals and the redevelopment of a dilapidated site for a future professional baseball stadium. Ryan also held an internship with the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, where he helped develop a report related to small business philanthropy in Sonoma County.
Towards the end of his college career, Ryan moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a Grassroots Coordinator for the American High Speed Rail Alliance. In that capacity, Ryan was responsible for building grassroots support and creating public outreach strategies for metropolitan areas across the country. He also had an opportunity to participate in meetings with Democratic and Republican congressional advisers on Capitol Hill regarding a proposed bill to allow Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing (RRIF) Program funds to be used to help develop high-speed rail infrastructure in the United States.
In 2018, Ryan was recognized by the North Bay Business Journal as one of the North Bay’s Forty Under 40 ‘Ones to Watch’.
Ryan was born and raised in Sonoma County and is engaged in the community as a Graduate of Leadership Windsor – Class 1. He is also a Board Member for multiple youth-serving nonprofits. He currently serves as Board Treasurer for the Windsor Educational Foundation, and as a Board Member/Past President of River to Coast Children’s Services. He previously served on the Santa Rosa Community Council for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County, and was a past President of the Monte Rio School Foundation.
Ryan Rabellino lives in Windsor with his wife, Olivia. Together, they have five children: Calila and Carmen, who are in college; Charlotte and Luca, who attend Windsor public schools; and Catalina, the baby in the family who just turned 1.
